Per Diem Pharmacy Technician | Brooklyn, New York

A per diem Retail Pharmacy Technician opportunity is available to provide essential support in a busy pharmacy environment. This role involves inputting prescription orders, assisting in medication dispensing, managing over-the-counter inventory, and delivering outstanding customer service. The position requires collaboration with pharmacists and interaction with third-party prescription plans to resolve reimbursement issues efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Enter patient and prescription data accurately into pharmacy systems.
• Assist pharmacists in dispensing medications safely and efficiently.
• Manage OTC inventory levels, placing orders as required to maintain stock.
• Provide friendly, knowledgeable customer service addressing patient inquiries and concerns.
• Work with insurance providers to resolve prescription adjudication challenges.

Qualifications:

• Must hold a clear and active Pharmacy Technician license valid in New Jersey.
• Bilingual in Spanish is preferred to better serve a diverse customer base.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to compliance with pharmacy regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Schedule:

• Per diem, first shift.
• Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
• Specific assignment dates: May 18, May 22, May 27-29, June 1-5.
