Seeking experienced Pharmacy Technicians for a contract position at a prominent county medical center in Ventura, CA. These roles offer an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic hospital environment serving the local community.

Location: Ventura, CA
Job Type: Contract (13 weeks +)
Start Date: ASAP

Responsibilities:

  • Accurately prepare and dispense medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist
  • Receive and process prescription orders from healthcare providers
  • Maintain proper storage and handling of pharmaceutical supplies
  • Assist with inventory management and restocking pharmacy shelves
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and hospital regulations regarding medication safety and distribution
  • Collaborate effectively with pharmacists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Previous pharmacy technician experience, preferably in a hospital setting
  • Familiarity with prescription processing and medication dispensing procedures
  • Knowledge of pharmacy laws and regulations
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced healthcare environments
  • Certification as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred but not required
