Pharmacy Technician in Camarillo, CA

This opportunity offers an engaging role as a Pharmacy Technician in a 250-bed inpatient healthcare setting. The position requires expertise in sterile and non-sterile compounding, managing and restocking Pyxis medication dispensing units, and handling communications directed to the pharmacy. The role supports critical inpatient pharmacy operations, ensuring efficient medication preparation and distribution to enhance patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Perform sterile and non-sterile compounding according to established protocols.
• Restock and maintain Pyxis medication dispensing units.
• Field and manage incoming pharmacy-related calls.
• Support inpatient pharmacy workflow with attention to detail and compliance.
• Collaborate with pharmacy and clinical staff to ensure timely medication delivery.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current California Pharmacy Technician license required.
• New Graduates with some clinical experience are encouraged to apply.
• Prior training or experience with intravenous (IV) medications and compounding is highly advantageous.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Schedule and Location:

• Based in Camarillo, CA.
• Variable day and afternoon shifts.
• Every other weekend coverage required.
• Long-term contract with an ASAP start date.
