Pharmacy Technician - Cambridge City, Indiana

Two Pharmacy Technician positions are available in the Richmond, IN area, offering opportunities for skilled professionals to contribute to hospital pharmacy operations. Job Type: Contract
Schedule/Hours:

• Position 1: Night shift, 7 days on followed by 7 days off (9:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Position 2: Day/afternoon shift, 8-hour shifts totaling 40 hours per week

Responsibilities:

• Perform sterile and non-sterile compounding of medications
• Restock automated dispensing machines (Pyxis)
• Respond to calls directed to the pharmacy
• Deliver medications to hospital floors
• Identify and pull expired medications for proper disposal
• Support pharmacy operations to ensure timely and accurate medication distribution

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Current Indiana pharmacy technician license or eligibility to obtain one (Indiana licensure process is straightforward)
• Minimum of 2 years of recent hospital pharmacy technician experience
• Strong knowledge of sterile and non-sterile compounding procedures
• Familiarity with Pyxis or similar automated medication dispensing systems
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a healthcare team
