This position offers an opportunity to work as a Production Pharmacy Technician in a closed-door long-term care facility located in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. The role focuses on evening shift work, with a schedule from 6:00 pm to 2:30 am, Monday through Friday, including every other weekend rotation.
Responsibilities include preparing medications in appropriate packaging such as blister packs or unit-dose forms, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to residents. The technician will assist with ordering, receiving, and stocking medications while maintaining proper storage conditions and monitoring expiration dates. Accurate documentation of patient and medication records is essential for compliance and patient safety.
The facility uses Frameworks software; however, training will be provided for the right candidate. The pharmacy handles a volume of roughly 600 prescriptions per day, requiring efficiency and attention to detail.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of one year experience as a pharmacy technician
- NJ State License preferred but not required
- PTCB certification preferred but not mandatory
- Ability to work evening hours and participate in every other weekend rotation
- Willingness to learn new software systems
