Pharmacy Technician | Canton, Ohio

This opportunity is for a skilled Pharmacy Technician to support inpatient hospital pharmacy operations in a fast-paced clinical environment. The role requires expertise in sterile compounding and medication automation systems, providing an essential role in ensuring safe and efficient medication distribution.

Responsibilities include:

• Managing medication order entry using Meditech
• Handling medication dispensing with Pyxis automation system
• Performing sterile compounding procedures according to established protocols
• Collaborating closely with pharmacists and healthcare teams to support patient care
• Maintaining accurate documentation and inventory control
• Working overnight shifts on a 7 on/7 off schedule (9pm–7am), typically Thursday through Thursday

Qualifications:

• Current Ohio Pharmacy Technician license
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) required
• Prior inpatient pharmacy experience in a hospital setting
• Proficient with Pyxis automated medication dispensing systems
• Strong knowledge of sterile compounding techniques and standards
• Ability to work nights consistently with a professional and detail-oriented approach

This contract-to-hire role spans approximately 13 weeks with the potential for direct hire based on performance and fit. The position offers a competitive hourly rate and the chance to become a permanent part of a respected healthcare team.
