This full-time, contract opportunity in Chandler, AZ, is ideal for Pharmacy Technicians with pharmacy experience seeking to expand their skill set into non-sterile compounding within an animal pharmacy and mail-order environment. This role offers hands-on experience preparing custom compounded medications, with comprehensive training provided to those eager to learn compounding techniques.

Location:

  • Chandler, AZ (1680 E Northrop Blvd, 85286)

Schedule/Shift:

  • Full Time
  • 2nd shift: 1:30 PM – 10:00 PM (confirmation pending on other shifts)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare high-quality non-sterile compounded medications including capsules, oral liquids, topicals, nasal preparations, tablets, and treats
  • Accurately label prescriptions and prepackage bulk medications
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels, reorder supplies as needed, and receive shipments
  • Conduct routine cleaning following strict disinfectant protocols to ensure a safe and compliant workspace
  • Perform environmental monitoring and validation testing in accordance with policies
  • Apply strong attention to detail and mathematical skills to meet or exceed prescription creation metrics
  • Support timely delivery of medications to pet owners and veterinary clients

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Must hold a valid Arizona Pharmacy Technician license
  • Previous pharmacy technician experience required
  • Willingness to be trained in non-sterile compounding techniques
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a focus on accuracy
