This role offers full-time hours with a second shift schedule (1:30 pm – 10:00 pm) and combines hands-on pharmacy work with specialized compounding responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and compound non-sterile medications, including capsules, oral liquids, topical creams, nasal preparations, tablets, and treats
- Accurately label prescriptions and prepackage bulk medications
- Monitor inventory levels and reorder supplies to ensure consistent availability of materials
- Conduct routine cleaning and sterile environment maintenance following established protocols
- Perform environmental monitoring and validation tests according to company procedures
- Maintain detail-oriented focus and strong math skills to ensure quality and accuracy
- Collaborate with team members to ensure prompt delivery of medications to pet owners and veterinary professionals
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active Arizona State Pharmacy Technician license required
- Prior pharmacy experience essential; willingness to train in non-sterile compounding techniques provided
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict procedures
- Ability to work full-time on the second shift
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and patient safety
