Per Diem Pharmacy Technician in Charlotte, NC

A community-focused healthcare clinic in Charlotte, NC seeks a Per Diem Pharmacy Technician to provide flexible coverage for call-offs, PTO, and vacation shifts. This role is ideal for a dedicated technician comfortable working in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) environment, supporting underserved populations with compassionate, patient-centered service.

Location: Charlotte, NC
Position Type: Per Diem (PRN)
Estimated Shifts: Approximately 2 per month
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM (No weekends)

Responsibilities:

• Assist the pharmacist in daily pharmacy operations within a 340B/ FQHC setting.
• Accurately prepare and dispense medications while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Provide excellent support in a one pharmacist/one technician work environment.
• Communicate effectively with patients, demonstrating patience and care.
• Support Spanish-speaking patients when possible, aiding clear communication and patient comfort.

Desired Qualifications:

• Active North Carolina Pharmacy Technician license.
• Recent hands-on experience as a pharmacy technician, preferably within FQHC or similar community health settings.
• Prior experience working with underserved or diverse patient populations is highly preferred.
• Spanish language skills are a plus, especially if the supervising pharmacist is also bilingual.
• Ability to thrive independently in a small pharmacy team.
