A Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Charlotte, NC is seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to provide essential PRN support covering call-offs, PTO, and vacation shifts—approximately two per month. This role offers an opportunity to contribute within a patient-centered clinical setting serving an underserved community.
Location:
- Charlotte, North Carolina
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM
- No weekends required
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the pharmacist in daily pharmacy operations, ensuring accurate medication dispensing consistent with FQHC and 340B program requirements
- Provide support in medication preparation, inventory control, and record-keeping using PioneerRx pharmacy system
- Collaborate effectively in a small team environment typically consisting of one pharmacist and one technician
- Maintain patient confidentiality while delivering professional and compassionate service to a diverse patient population
- Participate in quality assurance activities and compliance with regulatory standards
Qualifications:
- Current North Carolina Pharmacy Technician license (required)
- Recent hands-on experience as a pharmacy technician, ideally in FQHC or community health settings
- Familiarity with working alongside underserved patient populations preferred
- Comfort working in a 1 Pharmacist/1 Technician environment
- Spanish language proficiency is a strong plus, particularly if the supervising pharmacist is also Spanish-speaking
