A dynamic opportunity is available for a Certified Pharmacy Technician to serve as a traveling liaison between pharmacy services and various healthcare facilities across Maryland and Virginia. This direct hire role offers a field-based position where you will be pivotal in ensuring quality medication management and fostering strong relationships with facility leadership and staff.

Location & Schedule:

  • Travel to multiple facilities throughout Maryland and Virginia, including cities like Alexandria, Woodbridge, Fairfax, Richmond, and others
  • Monday to Friday, primarily 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM with occasional flexibility for later audits
  • Rare weekend work
  • Reliable transportation required; client covers mileage and lodging costs for any overnight stays

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the main contact for assigned facilities to understand and meet their pharmacy needs
  • Support medication therapy, compliance, and coordinate with clinical directors and pharmacy operations
  • Conduct training and educational sessions for facility staff on medication systems and processes
  • Perform monthly on-site visits, medication room inspections, and compliance audits as needed
  • Address client inquiries and resolve issues promptly, identifying opportunities for service expansion
  • Assist with survey preparations and ensure adherence to laws and industry standards

Qualifications:

  • Valid Pharmacy Technician licenses for both Virginia and Maryland are required
  • PTCB certification strongly preferred
  • Experience in long-term care pharmacy settings is advantageous
  • Proficient with pharmacy and medication distribution software (e.g., EMAR, Medbank, Frameworks)
  • Must be comfortable with frequent travel and overnight stays as necessary
