Pharmacy Technician - Chesapeake, Virginia

An experienced IV/Infusion Pharmacy Technician is needed to support home infusion services in a growing healthcare system renowned for its extensive hospital network and infusion sites. This role offers an opportunity to work with a respected organization expanding its home infusion care, with a focus on delivering high-quality sterile compounding services under pharmacist supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare IVs, TPNs, and other sterile compounded medications following strict quality assurance and legal protocols
• Collaborate closely with licensed pharmacists to ensure accuracy and safety in all compounded products
• Train new staff members as needed to maintain high standards across the team
• Engage in clinical initiatives aimed at optimizing patient outcomes in the home infusion service line
• Perform additional sterile compounding and pharmacy technician tasks as assigned

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on IV/infusion pharmacy technician experience, including TPNs and antibiotic preparations
• Experience in a home infusion setting is strongly preferred; inpatient IV experience will also be considered
• Valid Virginia Pharmacy Technician license
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification required
• Proficiency with EPIC pharmacy systems or similar electronic health record platforms
