A healthcare facility in the St. Louis suburbs is seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to support their small hospital setting. This contract position offers an opportunity to apply your expertise in a fast-paced environment, focusing on sterile compounding and medication management.
Responsibilities:
- Perform sterile compounding of medications adhering to safety and quality standards
- Restock automated medication dispensing systems (Omnicells) to ensure availability
- Field and respond to calls directed to the pharmacy, providing exceptional communication and support
- Assist pharmacy staff with daily operational tasks to maintain efficient workflow
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Missouri Pharmacy Technician license is required
- Previous experience in a hospital pharmacy setting preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow sterile compounding protocols
- Effective communication skills for handling pharmacy inquiries
- Local candidates preferred to support the facility's needs promptly
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday
- 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
