A direct hire opportunity is available for a Pharmacy Technician to support multiple healthcare facilities across Southern Illinois. This field-based role requires travel throughout an assigned territory centered near Springfield, IL, serving as the key liaison between the pharmacy and various long-term care facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with facility leadership and staff to effectively communicate pharmacy needs and services.
- Act as the primary contact for assigned accounts, ensuring quality medication therapy and compliance.
- Provide guidance and support related to medication management, working closely with clinical services and pharmacy operations teams.
- Respond promptly to client inquiries and address concerns with professionalism.
- Identify opportunities to expand pharmacy services and introduce new products that meet client needs.
- Conduct training sessions and educational programs for facility staff on pharmacy systems and medication protocols.
- Perform monthly onsite visits and reporting to support continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Assist with survey preparation, medication cart and room inspections, and medication pass observations as requested.
- Coordinate audits that may require flexible scheduling, including some evening hours.
Qualifications:
- Illinois Pharmacy Technician license (required).
- PTCB certification (highly preferred).
- Experience in long-term care pharmacy settings preferred.
- Proficiency with pharmacy and medication distribution software such as EMAR, Medbank, and Frameworks preferred.
- Reliable transportation and flexibility to travel within the assigned territory; overnight stays may occasionally be necessary.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM (40 hours/week).
- Minimal weekend work; audit times may vary.
