Per Diem Pharmacy Technician | Chicago, Illinois

A retail pharmacy is seeking a Spanish-speaking Pharmacy Technician to support their Chicago, IL location on a per diem basis. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to patient care in a busy, community-focused setting, assisting with prescriptions and customer interactions in a multilingual environment.

Location: Chicago, IL
Schedule: 2-3 days per week

• Monday - Thursday: 9 AM – 5 PM
• Friday: 9 AM – 2 PM
• Saturday: 9 AM – 2 PM
• Closed Sundays

Responsibilities:

• Assist with filling 50-75 prescriptions daily
• Manage over-the-counter (OTC) product duties
• Provide patient support and answer questions via phone and in-person
• Communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking patients to ensure quality care
• Perform general retail pharmacy tasks to maintain smooth operations

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Illinois Pharmacy Technician license
• Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification preferred but not required
• Previous retail pharmacy experience is ideal; new graduates who are eager to learn are welcome
• Fluency in Spanish is required for effective patient communication
• Willingness to learn and use the Best Rx system (training provided)
