A contract opportunity is available for a Pharmacy Technician in an outpatient pharmacy setting. This position offers a day shift schedule from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with the potential to transition from temporary to direct hire.

Location: Chicago, IL

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately prepare and dispense medications under pharmacist supervision.
  • Assist with inventory management and restocking of pharmacy supplies.
  • Utilize the Pioneer RX computer system to process prescriptions and maintain patient records.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient inquiries and facilitating smooth pharmacy operations.
  • Ensure compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a pharmacy technician.
  • Previous experience in a retail outpatient pharmacy environment.
  • Valid Illinois pharmacy technician license.
  • Proficient with pharmacy computer systems, preferably Pioneer RX.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

Additional Information:

  • This is a contract assignment with the possibility to convert to a direct hire position.
  • Agreements are currently in process of being updated and signed.
