This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Pharmacy Technician with a background in inpatient hospital settings and sterile compounding. The role is based in Chicago, IL, within an inpatient hospital environment, supporting both operational pharmacy tasks and specialized sterile compounding clean room activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform inpatient pharmacy technician duties, including preparing and filling Omnicell and Autocart systems.
  • Compound batches with adherence to sterile protocols in the clean room.
  • Prepare and maintain crash carts to ensure readiness for emergencies.
  • Support inpatient operations to maintain efficient pharmacy workflow.

Schedule and Location:

  • Monday through Friday with rotating shifts: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM; 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM; and 2:30 PM – 10:00 PM.
  • Rotating weekend shifts are required.
  • Position is located in Chicago, Illinois.
  • Contract role for 13 weeks with intent for hire.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current Illinois Pharmacy Technician license.
  • PTCB certification is required.
  • Proven experience in an inpatient hospital pharmacy.
  • Experience with sterile compounding in a clean room setting.
