Pharmacy Technician in Chicago, IL

An experienced IV Pharmacy Technician opportunity is available in Chicago, IL, focusing on sterile compounding within a cleanroom environment. This full-time contract position requires strong, hands-on experience preparing sterile IV medications, ensuring compliance with aseptic standards.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and compound sterile IV medications including antibiotics, hydration solutions, minibags, and syringes.
• Follow strict aseptic techniques and sterile compounding procedures.
• Accurately label, package, and prepare medications for dispensing.
• Assist with prescription filling and data entry as necessary.
• Maintain cleanroom standards adhering to USP <797> guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years recent hands-on IV compounding experience is required.
• Active Illinois Pharmacy Technician License.
• Proven experience working in a sterile compounding cleanroom setting.
• Solid knowledge of aseptic techniques and sterile preparation procedures.
• PTCB certification preferred but not mandatory.
• Sterile Compounding Certificate preferred but not mandatory.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM
