Travel Pharmacy Technician in Chillicothe, OH

A dedicated Pharmacy Technician is needed to support an independent retail pharmacy in need of immediate coverage for approximately 8 weeks. This full-time position involves working 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The pharmacy processes around 130 prescriptions daily, staffed by one pharmacist and currently one technician, with this role to help maintain seamless operations during a temporary staffing gap.

Responsibilities include order entry, prescription fulfillment, verification of medications, and managing phone communications. The ideal candidate will have a valid Ohio Pharmacy Technician license and experience in a retail or similar pharmacy setting. Familiarity with PioneerRX software is a plus but not required.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Ohio Pharmacy Technician license
• Experience in retail pharmacy or a similar environment
• Comfortable with high volume prescription processing (~130 prescriptions per day)
• Ability to perform order entry, fulfillment, and verification accurately and efficiently
• Strong communication skills to handle phone inquiries professionally
• Availability to start immediately and commit to an eight-week duration
• Willingness to work as a travel technician to assist this location
