This role offers an opportunity to apply pharmacy technician skills within a long-term care pharmacy setting. The position is based in Cibolo, TX, with an expectation to start March 2, 2026. The shift runs from 1:30pm to 10:00pm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare medications accurately by reading prescriptions, calculating dosages, measuring, mixing, counting, and labeling for pharmacist dispensing.
  • Dispense medications and manage documentation by processing insurance claims, maintaining patient profiles, and filing prescriptions securely.
  • Oversee inventory management, including tracking stock levels, entering orders, rotating stock, and ordering necessary supplies.
  • Support daily pharmacy workflow by performing opening and closing procedures to ensure timely and efficient service.
  • Maintain professional communication with patients, clinicians, and internal teams while assisting with medication education.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality checklists, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Participate in specialized tasks such as operating dispensing machines or robotics, assisting with IV room functions, and compounding sterile or non-sterile preparations if needed.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid Texas Pharmacy Technician License.
  • Previous experience in a pharmacy technician role, preferably within long-term care settings.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication preparation and dispensing.
  • Familiarity with insurance claim processing and pharmacy documentation.
  • Ability to manage inventory and support pharmacy workflow efficiently.
  • Effective communication skills for patient and team interactions.
  • Commitment to quality, safety, and compliance standards.

Shift: 1:30pm – 10:00pm
