Pharmacy Technician | Cicero, Illinois

This opportunity is for a Pharmacy Technician position within an inpatient hospital setting in Cicero, IL. This contract role lasts approximately 13 weeks with intent for hire and offers a dynamic work environment focused on inpatient operations and sterile compounding.

Responsibilities:

• Work in the inpatient pharmacy operations area, including preparing and filling medications.
• Perform sterile compounding tasks in the clean room environment.
• Compound medication batches accurately and efficiently.
• Prepare and stock crash carts for rapid response.
• Utilize Omnicell and auto cart systems to fill medication orders.
• Collaborate with the pharmacy team to support patient care needs.
• Adhere strictly to safety and regulatory standards.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, rotating shifts:
  • 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
  • 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
  • 2:30 PM – 10:00 PM
• Rotating weekends required

Qualifications:

• Active Illinois pharmacy technician license required.
• PTCB certification.
• Proven experience working as a pharmacy technician in an inpatient hospital setting.
• Hands-on experience with sterile compounding and clean room protocols.
• Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends.
