Join a dynamic pharmacy team in Clearwater, FL, as a Pharmacy Technician on a 13-week contract assignment. This temp role offers a Monday through Friday schedule from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, providing a structured workweek and the opportunity to apply your expertise in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting. The start date is ASAP or approximately 1.5 to 2 weeks after offer clearance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and fill prescriptions accurately, including insurance adjudications and resolving claim rejections.
  • Prepare, package, and label medications for pharmacist verification.
  • Perform detailed data entry, manage prescription paperwork, and communicate effectively with patients and prescribers.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through daily cycle counts, restocking, and expiration monitoring.
  • Assist with returns, medication quarantines, and destruction processes following compliance protocols.
  • Cross-train in various pharmacy functions to support departmental needs.
  • Adhere strictly to HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid, and insurance regulations.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • PTCB certification and a Florida pharmacy technician license in good standing.
  • Minimum of 2 years pharmacy technician experience; call center background is a plus.
  • Strong multitasking abilities, organizational skills, and time management.
  • Excellent communication skills for interaction with patients, healthcare providers, and internal teams.
