Join a dynamic pharmacy team as a Pharmacy Technician in Clearwater, FL, on a 13-week contract with a Monday to Friday schedule from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Start Date:
- ASAP or within 1.5 to 2 weeks after clearance
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and fill prescriptions using appropriate software while handling insurance adjudications and resolving rejections promptly
- Prepare, package, and label medications accurately for pharmacist verification
- Manage data entry tasks, maintain prescription paperwork, and facilitate communication with patients, prescribers, and insurance providers
- Maintain inventory accuracy through daily cycle counts, restocking, and monitoring medication expiration dates
- Assist with medication returns, quarantine procedures, and destruction processes to ensure regulatory compliance
- Cross-train across various pharmacy functions and support overall department needs
- Adhere strictly to HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid, and insurance regulations to maintain compliance
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED required
- PTCB certification and active Florida pharmacy technician license in good standing
- Minimum of 2 years pharmacy technician experience, with preferred exposure to call center environments
- Strong multitasking abilities, organizational skills, and effective time management
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with patients, healthcare providers, and internal teams
