This opportunity is perfect for a pharmacy technician with retail experience who is proficient with Microsoft Office and confident in making phone calls. The position is based in Clearwater, FL, and offers a 13-week contract assignment with a Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately process prescriptions and manage insurance adjudications, resolving any claim rejections.
• Prepare, package, and label medications for pharmacist verification.
• Enter data, handle prescription paperwork, and communicate effectively with patients, prescribers, and internal team members.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through daily cycle counts, restocking, and expiration reviews.
• Support medication returns, quarantine, and destruction processes.
• Cross-train in various pharmacy functions to provide flexible team support.
• Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid, and insurance regulations.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• High School diploma or GED required.
• PTCB certification and Florida pharmacy technician license in good standing.
• Minimum of 2 years of pharmacy technician experience, preferably in a retail setting (call center experience is a plus).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong multitasking, organizational, and time management skills.
• Excellent communication skills with ability to interact well with patients, providers, and team members.
