Pharmacy Technician in Cloudcroft, NM

Pharmacy Technicians are essential to the smooth operation of hospital pharmacies, assisting pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications for patients. This role requires accuracy, attention to detail, and a commitment to supporting patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Location:

• Cloudcroft, NM area (Hospital setting)

Schedule/Hours:

• Monday – Friday: 7:00 am – 8:00 pm
• Saturday and Sunday: 7:00 am – 5:00 pm (rotating schedule, work every third weekend)

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing inpatient medications accurately and efficiently.
• Manage inventory and restock supplies in compliance with hospital protocols.
• Compound sterile and non-sterile preparations as required.
• Ensure proper documentation and adherence to safety and regulatory guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with healthcare team members to support patient care.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy workspace.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Pharmacy Technician certification or relevant training.
• Experience working in a hospital or inpatient pharmacy setting preferred.
• IV certification is a plus for candidates seeking higher pay and expanded responsibilities.
• Experience with chemotherapy medication preparation is highly valued.

Compensation Details:

• Pharmacy Technician: $19 - $22 per hour
• Pharmacy Tech with IV certification: $20 - $23 per hour
• Pharmacy Tech with chemotherapy experience: $23 - $25 per hour
