Pharmacy Technician | Columbus, Ohio

This full-time pharmacy technician opportunity is based in Cincinnati, Ohio, offering a contract-to-hire position within a retail pharmacy environment. The role focuses on supporting pharmacy operations through direct patient interaction and assisting with prescription processing, utilizing Pioneer Rx software. This position works primarily on the first shift with a schedule designed to provide a consistent routine throughout the week.

Schedule:

• Monday to Wednesday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• Thursday: 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM
• Friday: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the pharmacist in serving patients and maintaining pharmacy department efficiency.
• Greet customers and respond to inquiries professionally.
• Receive prescriptions, verify their authenticity, and process them electronically with precision.
• Identify and resolve issues such as rejected insurance claims effectively.
• Select and measure medications accurately to fill prescriptions.
• Organize stock, label medications, and monitor inventory levels to ensure availability.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Ohio.
• Experience in retail or a comparable pharmacy setting preferred.
• Proficiency with Pioneer Rx pharmacy software is highly desirable.
