Pharmacy Technician - Columbus, OH

This opportunity is for an experienced Pharmacy Technician eager to support patient care in a retail pharmacy setting. Situated in Columbus, Ohio, this full-time position operates on a day shift schedule and offers a contract-to-hire pathway. The role requires proficiency with Pioneer Rx software, plus strong organizational and customer service skills.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with pharmacists to serve patients and maintain efficient pharmacy operations
• Greet customers warmly and address inquiries professionally
• Receive and verify prescriptions for accuracy and validity
• Electronically process prescriptions, ensuring completeness of all information
• Troubleshoot insurance rejections and resolve related issues promptly
• Select and prepare appropriate medications, measuring dosages accurately
• Sort, stock, label medications, and monitor inventory to ensure availability and compliance

Qualifications:

• Valid Pharmacy Technician license in Ohio is required
• Previous retail pharmacy experience or similar background preferred
• Hands-on experience with Pioneer Rx highly desirable
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills

Schedule:

• Monday to Wednesday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• Thursday: 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM
• Friday: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
