A pharmacy technician position is available for a 13-week contract starting June 14 in Columbus, OH. This role focuses on inpatient pharmacy support and requires a skilled individual with recent hands-on experience in a hospital setting.
Schedule/Hours:
- Two shifts every other weekend from 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
- Overnight shifts Monday through Thursday from 9:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications in an inpatient environment
- Manage medication inventory and ensure accurate record-keeping in compliance with regulatory standards
- Support IV admixture preparation where applicable
- Operate within Cerner EMR system for medication tracking and patient records
- Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and quality standards
Qualifications / Desired Experience:
- At least 1 year of recent inpatient pharmacy technician experience
- Proficiency with IV preparation is an asset
- Active Ohio pharmacy technician license
- National certification required
- Familiarity with Cerner EMR or similar systems
