This position offers an excellent opportunity for a skilled Pharmacy Technician with a focus on inpatient care. The role requires dedicated professionals who can efficiently support pharmacy operations in a fast-paced hospital environment utilizing Cerner EMR.
Location:
- Columbus, OH
Schedule/Hours:
- Two overnight shifts from 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM, Monday through Thursday
- Two shifts every other weekend from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM
Contract Duration:
- Starting June 14th for approximately 13 weeks
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately prepare and dispense medications following established protocols
- Support inpatient pharmacy operations, including IV medication preparation (experience preferred)
- Utilize Cerner EMR for medication verification and documentation
- Collaborate with pharmacy staff and clinical teams to ensure timely delivery of pharmaceutical services
- Maintain compliance with state licensing requirements and safety regulations
Qualifications and Experience:
- At least one year of recent inpatient pharmacy experience is required
- IV medication preparation experience is a significant asset
- Current Ohio Pharmacy Technician license
- National certification is mandatory
- Proficiency with Cerner electronic medical records system
