Pharmacy Technician - Converse, Texas

An opportunity is available for a skilled Pharmacy Technician to support medication preparation and pharmacy operations in a contract role based in Converse, TX. This 13-week assignment involves hands-on work to ensure the accurate and compliant dispensing of medications under the supervision of a pharmacist.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately compound, prepare, and process prescriptions following regulatory guidelines and company policies.
• Assist pharmacists in dispensing medications and supplies, ensuring correct dosages through pharmaceutical calculations.
• Properly label and package medications for distribution.
• Identify, document, and report medication-related incidents to maintain patient safety.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of pharmacy work areas and equipment, including laminar flow hoods.
• Inspect pharmacy equipment regularly, reporting malfunctions or defects promptly.
• Keep detailed records of pharmacy temperature logs and cleaning activities.
• Support pharmacy organization and compliance initiatives.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy technician experience.
• Active Pharmacy Technician license in Texas.
• Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification.
• IV Certification preferred.
