A Pharmacy Technician position is available to support a closed-door pharmacy embedded within a behavioral health hospital. This contract-to-hire opportunity offers a full-time schedule from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, based in Plano, TX. The pharmacy fills an average of 350 to 400 behavioral health medication prescriptions daily and operates with a focus on efficient, high-volume medication fulfillment using Enterprise RX software (training provided).

The role requires reliability and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Candidates will join a team currently staffed by one pharmacist and two pharmacy technicians, with this hire completing the staff complement. The pharmacy is physically separate from the behavioral health clinic but fully contracted to meet the hospital's medication needs. Note that the pharmacy does not administer vaccines and focuses exclusively on behavioral health medications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately process and dispense behavioral health medication prescriptions, averaging 350-400 scripts per day
  • Support pharmacy operations in a closed-door, high-volume, fast-paced setting
  • Utilize Enterprise RX software to manage prescription workflows (training available)
  • Maintain compliance with pharmacy policies and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with pharmacy staff and healthcare teams embedded in the behavioral health hospital setting

Qualifications:

  • Current Texas Pharmacy Technician license (required)
  • Minimum of 1 year pharmacy technician experience; 2+ years preferred
  • Experience in retail or similar fast-paced pharmacy environments highly valued
  • Strong reliability and professional conduct essential due to prior behavioral challenges with staff
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
