Pharmacy Technician - Decatur, GA

An established infusion pharmacy is seeking an experienced IV/Infusion Pharmacy Technician to join their team at their location near Decatur, GA. This direct hire opportunity offers a Monday through Friday schedule, 8 AM to 5 PM, with Saturdays on an as-needed basis.

Responsibilities include:

• Sterile compounding of medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, adhering strictly to USP 797 standards
• Maintaining quality assurance in line with departmental and legal requirements
• Completing sterile compounding practical certification every six months
• Ensuring that all sterile compounding rooms and primary engineering controls are cleaned daily and meet USP 797 guidelines
• Training new employees when required
• Participating in clinical initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care
• Performing other sterile compounding and pharmacy technician duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Current Georgia pharmacy technician license is required
• National Certification as a pharmacy technician is highly preferred
• Experience with sterile compounding and knowledge of USP 797 standards
• Familiarity with pharmacy software systems, preferably CareTend
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
