An experienced IV/Infusion Pharmacy Technician is needed at a Duluth, GA site to support sterile compounding operations under the oversight of a licensed pharmacist. This direct hire position requires strict adherence to USP 797 sterile compounding standards and a commitment to maintaining a high level of quality assurance. The role includes both hands-on compounding and opportunities to train new staff members, contributing to improved patient care through active participation in clinical initiatives.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Saturdays as needed

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sterile compounding of medications, following all safety and legal guidelines
  • Maintain daily cleaning of sterile compounding rooms and primary engineering controls in compliance with USP 797 standards
  • Complete sterile compounding practical certification biannually per USP 797 requirements
  • Assist in training new employees on compounding procedures and best practices
  • Engage in clinical initiatives aimed at enhancing patient outcomes
  • Perform other pharmacy technician duties related to sterile compounding as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Current GA Pharmacy Technician license required
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) highly preferred
  • Experience with sterile IV/infusion compounding under USP 797 standards
  • Familiarity with CareTend pharmacy system is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
