A dynamic opportunity is available for a Full-Time Pharmacy Technician in a bustling pharmacy environment that serves both long-term care and retail clientele. This role demands precision, efficiency, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting handling approximately 500 prescriptions daily. The position starts as a contract with the potential to transition into a permanent role, offering career growth within the pharmacy operations team.

Location:

  • Des Plaines, IL (North Side of Chicago)

Schedule:

  • Approximately 10:00/11:00 AM to 7:00 PM
  • Weekend requirements to be confirmed

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer incoming calls from patients and healthcare facilities, providing excellent customer service
  • Accurately process prescriptions through data entry and medication filling
  • Support the daily operations of a high-volume pharmacy using AssistRx software (training provided)
  • Manage workload with strong attention to detail ensuring timely and accurate prescription fulfillment

Qualifications:

  • Active Illinois Pharmacy Technician license (mandatory)
  • Experience in prescription filling, data entry, and phone support
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Prior long-term care experience is a plus but not required
