Pharmacy Technician in Des Plaines, IL

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Pharmacy Technician seeking to advance their career in an outpatient pharmacy environment. The role involves supporting daily pharmacy operations, ensuring accurate dispensing of medications, and providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced outpatient setting. This position is a contract assignment with potential to convert to a direct hire.

Location: Des Plaines, IL
Schedule/Hours:

• Monday to Friday
• 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescriptions accurately
• Maintain patient records and process prescriptions using Pioneer RX system
• Manage inventory and ensure proper storage of medications
• Provide knowledgeable and courteous service to patients
• Comply with all state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year pharmacy technician experience required
• Experience in retail outpatient pharmacy settings strongly preferred
• Valid Illinois Pharmacy Technician License
• Proficiency with Pioneer RX computer system is a plus
