Pharmacy Technician | Douglasville, Georgia

An experienced IV/Infusion Pharmacy Technician is needed immediately for a direct hire opportunity in Douglasville, GA. This role plays a critical part in sterile compounding operations under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, ensuring top-quality medication preparation and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Perform sterile compounding of medications according to USP 797 standards and departmental guidelines.
• Maintain quality assurance throughout all compounding processes, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Complete sterile compounding practical certification every 6 months.
• Clean and maintain sterile compounding rooms and primary engineering controls daily following USP 797 protocols.
• Support training efforts by mentoring new employees as needed.
• Participate in clinical initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care outcomes.
• Execute additional pharmacy technician duties related to sterile compounding as assigned.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Saturdays as needed

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Valid Georgia Pharmacy Technician license required.
• National Certification highly preferred.
• Proven experience with sterile compounding in an infusion pharmacy setting.
• Familiarity with CareTend pharmacy systems strongly preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
