Pharmacy Technician in Douglasville, GA

An experienced IV/Infusion Pharmacy Technician is needed to support sterile compounding operations and pharmacy functions. This role requires expertise in sterile compounding under strict regulatory standards and offers an opportunity to contribute to patient care improvements in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Type: Direct Hire
Schedule:

• Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Saturdays: As needed

Key Responsibilities:

• Sterile compounding of medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, ensuring accuracy and safety
• Maintain quality assurance practices in compliance with departmental policies and legal requirements
• Complete sterile compounding practical certification every six months per USP 797 standards
• Clean and maintain sterile compounding rooms and primary engineering controls daily, adhering to USP 797 regulations
• Train new employees on sterile compounding and pharmacy technician duties when required
• Participate in clinical initiatives focused on enhancing patient care
• Perform additional pharmacy technician tasks related to sterile compounding as assigned

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Georgia Pharmacy Technician License
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification is highly preferred
• Strong knowledge of USP 797 sterile compounding standards and practices
• Previous experience working with sterile compounded IV/infusion medications
• Familiarity with the CareTend system is an advantage
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining strict quality standards
