This opportunity is for an experienced Retail Pharmacy Technician to support a specialty retail pharmacy serving complex patient populations. The role is a contract-to-hire placement based in Dublin, OH, with a focused patient base requiring compassionate, knowledgeable care.

Location: Dublin, OH
Type: Contract with potential to convert to permanent
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (no weekends)
Duration: 13 weeks, with the possibility of extension based on fit

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately prepare and dispense medications for patients managing multiple chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and MS
  • Demonstrate strong patient communication skills, providing clear explanations and compassionate support to patients with low literacy and limited healthcare resources
  • Utilize pharmacy management software, preferably Pioneer Rx (training available for candidates without prior experience)
  • Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare providers to ensure medication safety and adherence for complex regimens
  • Maintain compliance with pharmacy laws, regulations, and policies while handling specialty medications

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in retail and specialty pharmacy settings, particularly with patients who have chronic illnesses
  • Strong knowledge of the top 200-400 retail medications and familiarity with specialty drug protocols
  • Ability to effectively communicate with Medicare/Medicaid populations, demonstrating patience and empathy
  • Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification preferred, but not mandatory
  • Active Ohio pharmacy technician license required
