Pharmacy Technician | Dublin, Ohio

An experienced Pharmacy Technician is needed for a temp-to-hire opportunity in a specialty retail pharmacy setting. This role focuses on supporting complex patients who often take 8-15 medications daily, requiring strong communication skills, patience, and extensive knowledge of commonly dispensed retail medications.

Location: Dublin, OH
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (No weekends)
Contract Duration: 13 weeks with potential to convert to a permanent position based on performance

Responsibilities:

• Accurately prepare and dispense medications while adhering to pharmacy protocols
• Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients, many of whom manage chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, and multiple sclerosis
• Assist patients with low health literacy and provide exceptional patient care
• Utilize pharmacy software (experience with Pioneer Rx preferred, training available)
• Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Proven experience as a Retail Pharmacy Technician, with specialty pharmacy experience highly preferred
• Strong knowledge of the top 200–400 retail medications
• Demonstrated ability to work compassionately with chronic disease patients and those on Medicare/Medicaid
• Exceptional communication skills and patience when handling sensitive patient populations
• Resume should explicitly detail experience working with chronic illnesses
