An established specialty retail pharmacy is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician for an 8-week contract with potential for contract-to-hire. This role supports a patient population managing complex medication regimens—typically 8-15 medications daily—focusing on individuals with chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, and multiple sclerosis.

Location: Dublin, OH
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (no weekends)
Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately fill and dispense prescriptions under pharmacy protocols
  • Maintain detailed patient records with emphasis on chronic illness management
  • Communicate compassionately and effectively with patients, many of whom have low literacy levels
  • Collaborate closely with pharmacists to ensure optimal patient care
  • Utilize Pioneer Rx software for prescription processing (training available if needed)

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Proven retail pharmacy technician experience, with specialty pharmacy strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated strong communication skills, especially when working with patients facing advanced chronic health conditions
  • Experience serving Medicare/Medicaid and low-income populations with sensitivity and patience
  • Resume must explicitly document experience with chronic disease patient care
  • Familiarity with Pioneer Rx is a plus but not mandatory
