This temporary pharmacy technician role offers a 13-week assignment in Clearwater, FL, with a Monday to Friday schedule from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The start date is immediate or approximately 1.5 to 2 weeks after offer clearance. This position suits detail-oriented professionals who excel in fast-paced environments and strong team collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and fill prescriptions, handle insurance adjudications, and resolve claim rejections.
  • Prepare, package, and label medications, ensuring accuracy for pharmacist verification.
  • Manage prescription paperwork, perform data entry, and communicate clearly with patients and prescribers.
  • Maintain accurate inventory through cycle counts, restocking, and reviewing medication expiration dates.
  • Assist with medication returns, quarantining, and destruction as necessary.
  • Cross-train in multiple pharmacy functions to support overall department needs.
  • Adhere to compliance standards including HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid, and insurance regulations.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Active PTCB certification and Florida pharmacy technician license in good standing.
  • Minimum of 2 years pharmacy technician experience; call center experience is a plus.
  • Strong multitasking ability, organizational skills, and effective time management.
  • Excellent communication skills for interaction with patients, providers, and internal teams.

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
