Pharmacy Technician in East Falmouth, MA

A community hospital on Cape Cod is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support its pharmacy operations in a 200-bed facility approximately 70 miles south of Boston. This role focuses on ensuring efficient medication management within a hospital setting, working primarily day shifts.

Responsibilities include:

• Performing sterile and non-sterile compounding to support patient care needs
• Restocking Pyxis medication dispensing units throughout the hospital
• Utilizing EPIC pharmacy information systems for medication verification and documentation
• Collaborating with pharmacy and clinical staff to maintain accurate inventory and medication safety
• Adhering to hospital and regulatory standards to ensure quality and compliance

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Massachusetts Pharmacist license preferred
• Prior hospital pharmacy experience strongly desired
• Proficiency in using EPIC electronic health record and Pyxis automated dispensing systems
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety in medication preparation and handling
• Ability to work independently while maintaining effective communication with the healthcare team

Schedule:

• Day shifts, 8-hour shifts
