This opportunity is ideal for a skilled Pharmacy Technician seeking a full-time, direct hire position in an inpatient hospital setting near Flemington, NJ. Under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, you will provide essential technical support for the Department of Pharmaceutical Services. Your responsibilities will include labeling, preparing, dispensing, and distributing pharmaceutical products to a diverse patient population ranging from neonates to geriatrics, ensuring safe and accurate medication delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and dispense medications accurately for all patient age groups.
  • Label pharmaceutical products following department protocols.
  • Support inpatient pharmaceutical services, including IV and sterile compounding.
  • Utilize Pyxis and Omnicell systems for medication management.
  • Participate in weekend rotations and adjust to variable afternoon shifts based on department needs.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • NJ Pharmacy Technician license or ability to obtain one promptly.
  • National certification from PTCB or NHA.
  • Minimum of 1 year of inpatient experience, including IV preparation.
  • IV/Sterile Compounding certification is highly preferred.
  • Competency with Pyxis and Omnicell software preferred.

Location & Schedule:

  • Position based in Flemington, NJ, approximately one hour from Edison, Newark, and New York City.
  • Variable workdays with afternoon shifts and scheduled weekend rotations to meet departmental requirements.
