A specialty pharmacy in the San Diego area is seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to support their team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced specialty pharmacy setting, assisting with prescription filling and medication authorization processing.

Location: El Cajon, CA
Type: Contract with potential for temp-to-hire
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 13 weeks +

Schedule:

• 8-hour day shifts: 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
• Some weekend shifts required

Responsibilities:

• Accurately fill and dispense prescriptions in a specialty pharmacy environment
• Process medication authorizations efficiently, ensuring timely patient access to medications
• Assist pharmacists with daily pharmacy operations and maintain compliance with regulatory standards
• Maintain accurate records and documentation

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid California Pharmacy Technician certification
• Local candidates preferred for ease of scheduling and onsite presence
• Demonstrated experience in specialty pharmacy settings, especially in processing medication authorizations
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Excellent communication skills and teamwork
