An established healthcare organization is launching a new outpatient pharmacy in Newark, NJ, and seeks a Pharmacy Technician to support this exciting community-focused initiative. - Monday through Saturday
- Day shift hours
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist pharmacists with prescription processing and dispensing duties
- Accurately enter and maintain patient and prescription records
- Support inventory management and medication ordering tasks
- Process insurance claims and resolve related billing questions
- Deliver excellent customer service to patients and healthcare providers
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active New Jersey Pharmacy Technician registration or license required
- Minimum of 1 year retail pharmacy experience
- Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification preferred but not mandatory
- Bilingual in English and Spanish highly preferred
- Familiarity with pharmacy management systems such as PrimeRx or MicroMerchant advantageous
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to patient-centered service
