Pharmacy Technician in Elizabeth, NJ

A direct hire opportunity is available for a Pharmacy Technician experienced in high-volume pharmacy operations. This role supports patients by facilitating access to a first-in-class therapy and managing a robust call volume within a fast-paced, closed-door pharmacy environment.

Location: Sayreville, New Jersey Schedule:

• Variable schedule including day and mid shifts
• Two closing shifts per week
• Operating hours from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM

Responsibilities:

• Handle a high volume of inbound and outbound calls from patients and healthcare providers with professionalism and accuracy
• Provide outstanding customer service to both patients and physicians
• Accurately enter prescription data and prepare prescriptions for dispensing
• Identify and report adverse events following established protocols
• Maintain precise records for patients, physicians, and prescriptions in the pharmacy system
• Collaborate effectively with the pharmacy team to ensure smooth daily operations

Qualifications:

• Active and clear Pharmacy Technician license in New Jersey
• Minimum 1 year of Pharmacy Technician experience, preferably in a mail order or closed-door pharmacy setting; retail experience considered
• Strong proficiency in data entry
• Ability to manage high call volumes while ensuring accuracy and patient confidentiality
• Stability in past employment; candidates with frequent recent job changes may not be considered

Pharmacy Software Experience:

• Familiarity with Prime Rx or similar pharmacy management systems is an advantage
