A direct hire opportunity is available for a Pharmacy Technician experienced in high-volume pharmacy operations. This role supports patients by facilitating access to a first-in-class therapy and managing a robust call volume within a fast-paced, closed-door pharmacy environment.
Location: Sayreville, New Jersey Schedule:
- Variable schedule including day and mid shifts
- Two closing shifts per week
- Operating hours from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM
Responsibilities:
- Handle a high volume of inbound and outbound calls from patients and healthcare providers with professionalism and accuracy
- Provide outstanding customer service to both patients and physicians
- Accurately enter prescription data and prepare prescriptions for dispensing
- Identify and report adverse events following established protocols
- Maintain precise records for patients, physicians, and prescriptions in the pharmacy system
- Collaborate effectively with the pharmacy team to ensure smooth daily operations
Qualifications:
- Active and clear Pharmacy Technician license in New Jersey
- Minimum 1 year of Pharmacy Technician experience, preferably in a mail order or closed-door pharmacy setting; retail experience considered
- Strong proficiency in data entry
- Ability to manage high call volumes while ensuring accuracy and patient confidentiality
- Stability in past employment; candidates with frequent recent job changes may not be considered
Pharmacy Software Experience:
- Familiarity with Prime Rx or similar pharmacy management systems is an advantage
