Per Diem Pharmacy Technician - Elk Grove, California

A retail pharmacy technician position is available on a per diem basis, offering the opportunity to work multiple days per week with flexible shifts including days, evenings, and weekends. This role requires a reliable and experienced technician ready to start immediately, supporting high-volume pharmacy operations across locations in the greater Sacramento area, including Lodi and Stockton.

Responsibilities:

• Perform typical retail pharmacy duties such as answering phones, data entry, label printing, filling/dispensing medications, operating the cash register, managing inventory, and handling medication takebacks.
• Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth pharmacy workflow and excellent customer service.
• Participate in a brief training program provided upon start to familiarize with specific protocols.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a high-volume retail pharmacy setting is required. Candidates with less than one year will not be considered.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid California pharmacy technician license; PTCB certification is beneficial.
• Must provide updated resume, skills checklist, one retail supervisor reference, and copies of CA license and PTCB certification (if applicable).

Location:

• Positions available throughout the greater Sacramento area with some assignments in Lodi/Stockton.
• Mileage reimbursement offered for candidates traveling more than 30 miles to an assignment.
