Pharmacy Tech - Evanston, Illinois

Seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician to support an outpatient pharmacy environment with a focus on precision and patient care. This role offers a contract position with the potential to transition into a direct hire opportunity, working Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The ideal candidate will have experience in retail outpatient pharmacy settings and be proficient with Pioneer RX computer systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately prepare and dispense medications under pharmacist supervision in an outpatient setting
• Maintain precise records to ensure compliance with pharmacy laws and regulations
• Utilize the Pioneer RX system for prescription processing, inventory management, and documentation
• Provide excellent customer service, answering queries and assisting patients with medication information
• Collaborate closely with pharmacists and other healthcare staff to ensure quality patient care

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year pharmacy technician experience, preferably in a retail outpatient setting
• Valid Illinois pharmacy technician license
• Strong knowledge of outpatient pharmacy operations and procedures
• Proficiency with Pioneer RX computer system or ability to quickly learn new software
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and communication skills

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM

This contract position offers the possibility to convert to a direct hire role, providing stability and career advancement. The position requires updated agreements, with initial paperwork already signed and in the process of being updated.
