Pharmacy Technician in Evanston, IL

A healthcare facility is seeking a Pharmacy Technician skilled in inpatient hospital operations and sterile compounding for a 13-week contract, with intent to hire. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic inpatient hospital environment, contributing to essential pharmacy operations and sterile preparation.

Location:

• Evanston, IL

Schedule/Hours:

• Monday through Friday, rotating shifts: • 7:00 am – 3:30 pm • 9:00 am – 5:30 pm • 2:30 pm – 10:00 pm
• Rotating weekends

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform inpatient pharmacy technician duties supporting hospital medication needs.
• Work in sterile compounding clean room environments to prepare batches in compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Prepare and restock crash carts efficiently.
• Operate Omnicell and auto cart fill systems to ensure timely medication delivery and inventory management.

Required Qualifications:

• Current Illinois pharmacy technician license.
• PTCB certification.
• Proven experience in inpatient hospital pharmacy operations.
• Hands-on experience with sterile compounding protocols.
