Pharmacy Technician | Evanston, Illinois

This opportunity is for a Pharmacy Technician position within an inpatient hospital environment in Evanston, IL. The role involves a combination of inpatient operations and sterile compounding, providing a dynamic and varied pharmacy setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform sterile compounding and batch preparations within a cleanroom environment.
• Prepare and restock crash carts, as well as manage Omnicell and auto cart filling processes.
• Fulfill inpatient pharmacy technician duties supporting medication distribution and patient care.
• Collaborate with pharmacy staff to ensure accuracy and compliance with hospital protocols.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday with rotating shifts (7:00 AM–3:30 PM, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM, and 2:30 PM–10:00 PM).
• Rotating weekends are required.
• Contract duration is 13 weeks with an intent for hire.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current Illinois Pharmacy Technician license.
• PTCB certification is required.
• Proven inpatient hospital pharmacy technician experience.
• Experience in sterile compounding and working in cleanroom environments.
