This direct hire opportunity seeks a Certified Pharmacy Technician licensed in Virginia and Maryland to serve as a traveling liaison between pharmacy operations and multiple healthcare facilities across Virginia and Maryland. This role involves building strong relationships with facility leadership and staff by providing expert pharmacy support and ensuring high standards of medication management and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary contact for assigned facilities within the territory, including locations such as Alexandria, Fairfax, Richmond, and select Maryland sites.
- Collaborate closely with directors of clinical services and pharmacy operations to support medication therapy and regulatory compliance.
- Provide on-site training and educational programs tailored to facility and pharmacy systems.
- Conduct monthly visits to facilities to assess performance, address inquiries, and generate reports on customer success.
- Assist with survey preparation, medication cart inspections, and medication pass observations as requested.
- Identify opportunities to expand service offerings and introduce new pharmacy products.
- Flexibly manage schedule, including occasional later audits, while primarily working Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Valid Pharmacy Technician licenses for Virginia and Maryland.
- Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) credential highly preferred.
- Experience in long-term care pharmacy settings.
- Proficiency with pharmacy and medication distribution software such as EMAR, Medbank, and Frameworks.
- Reliable transportation for traveling to facilities throughout the region; willingness for occasional overnight stays.
