A certified Pharmacy Technician is needed to travel throughout Maryland and Virginia, serving as a primary liaison between the pharmacy and multiple healthcare facilities. This direct-hire role requires strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple accounts while ensuring high-quality medication therapy support and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain relationships with facility leadership and staff as the main pharmacy contact
- Collaborate with clinical services and pharmacy teams to provide medication therapy guidance
- Address client inquiries promptly to maintain customer satisfaction
- Conduct training sessions on pharmacy systems and medication safety for facility staff
- Perform monthly onsite visits, medication room inspections, and compliance audits
- Assist with survey preparation and support continuous quality improvement efforts
- Travel extensively within assigned territories in Virginia and Maryland to support facilities
Required Qualifications:
- Valid Pharmacy Technician licenses in both Virginia and Maryland
- Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification highly preferred
- Experience in long-term care pharmacy settings strongly preferred
- Familiarity with pharmacy and medication distribution software such as EMAR, Medbank, and Frameworks
- Reliable transportation for frequent travel; willingness to stay overnight when necessary
Work Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, primarily 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
- Occasional flexible hours for audits or special assignments
- Rare weekend work required
