Per Diem Pharmacy Technician in Fairfax, VA

An opportunity is available for a knowledgeable Pharmacy Technician to provide per diem coverage at a retail pharmacy in the Fairfax, VA area from June 22nd through July 11th. This position offers exposure to a dynamic pharmacy environment with comprehensive training on initial days.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately entering and filling prescriptions using the PioneerRx system
• Assisting the Pharmacist with daily operations and patient service
• Performing some non-sterile compounding tasks, with training provided during the first three days

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Proficiency in the PioneerRx pharmacy system is required
• Prior experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a retail setting preferred
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
• Ability to work effectively both independently and in collaboration with pharmacy staff

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday: 9 AM to 6 PM
• Saturday: 9 AM to 1 PM
• Sundays: Closed

This per diem role includes initial training from June 22nd to June 24th to ensure smooth integration and knowledge of key responsibilities, especially compounding tasks.
