Pharmacy Technician in Fairfield, OH

A retail pharmacy technician position is available in Fairfield, OH, offering a contract-to-hire opportunity with a full-time schedule and primarily first-shift hours. This role requires strong technical skills and customer service abilities to assist pharmacists in delivering efficient and accurate pharmacy services.

Schedule/Hours:

• Monday to Wednesday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• Thursday: 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM
• Friday: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
• First shift

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist pharmacists with serving patients, ensuring excellent customer service
• Greet customers and respond to their questions professionally
• Receive and verify prescriptions for accuracy and completeness
• Electronically process prescriptions and address issues such as rejected insurance claims
• Select medications and measure dosages accurately to fill prescriptions
• Sort, stock, label medications, and monitor inventory levels to ensure availability

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Pharmacy Technician license in Ohio is required
• Retail pharmacy experience or similar background is preferred
• Experience with Pioneer Rx pharmacy software is highly desirable
