Per Diem Pharmacy Technician in Fairport, NY

This per diem opportunity offers a focused assignment as a Pharmacy Technician, providing essential support within a pharmacy setting in the Fairport, NY area. The role spans a concise term from March 17, 2026 to April 3, 2026, delivering critical pharmacy services during this 2-week coverage period.

Location:

• Fairport, NY (close to Rochester)

Schedule and Hours:

• Monday through Friday, 1st shift
• Hours generally 9:00am – 5:00pm, with a possibility of extending to 9:00am – 7:00pm

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately enter patient information and prescription orders into pharmacy systems
• Assist pharmacists in dispensing prescription medications in compliance with standards
• Manage and monitor over-the-counter inventory to ensure continuous availability
• Provide outstanding customer service by greeting and assisting patients with inquiries
• Work with third-party prescription plans to resolve adjudication issues and facilitate timely processing

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience as a Pharmacy Technician
• Experience working in retail or 340B pharmacy settings is highly preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively under supervision
• Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with customers and insurance representatives
